Fumika and Kanaka are mail carriers, but not the typical kind. For one, Kanaka is a talking staff and for two, Fumika delivers shigofumi: letters from the dead addressed to the living. These letters are a final, true, communication derived from hate, hope, and love. The story unfolds following this pair and their uncommon job as well as Fumika's unique 'situation'...
A rather unique story, but a little bit too short... Just 12 episodes. There are comments saying that this anime is boring, but for me, it is totally not. This anime is very meaningful indeed, and it touches my heart, really. I can still remember clearly, the story about Fumika chasing after a cat to deliver a Shigofumi to it... that story is really nice. There are a few more very touching story inside, discover it by yourself and i think you will agree with what i said. Experience the final words from the dead... feel the emotions, get the meaning that each separated stories want to tell.
If one day, you are given a shigofumi... how will you react to it?
If one day, when you're dead, who will you deliver a shigofumi to?
I wonder...
