Gundam 00

The year is A.D. 2307.

Although fossil fuels have been exhausted, mankind discovered a new energy source to amend their plight: three massive orbital elevators and the large-scale solar generation systems that accompany them. However, only some of the major nations and their allies would benefit from this system.

Three superpowers own the three orbital elevators. The "Union." based in the United States of America; the "Human Reformation League," consisting mainly of China, Russia and India; and the "AEU." which is centered in Europe. For their own dignity and prosperity, each of the superpowers is continuing to play a large zero-sum game. Yes, even in the 24th century, mankind has yet to unify into one.

In this world where battles never cease, a private militia appears, advocating the "eradication of warefare through force." Those possessing a mobile suit "Gundam" are called Celestial Beings.

The armed intervention to all warfare with Gundams begins.

This anime has already ended the 1st season of 25 episodes. I'm a Gundam fan myself, so that's the reason why i started to watch this anime. Although it received all sorts of comments, ranging from good to bad, but still I would say it is a great anime. Although there are some scene which I'm still blur with it, but i hope things will all settle down once the 2nd season is on air around October (if I'm not mistaken). Like the storyline, plotting... always excites me.

Given the chance and power to change the world, what will you do? What move will you take? How's the world that you wanted to see? Questions like this will keep on running in your mind through out the anime, different characters inside will have different background, different goal, different thinking... but in the end, they are all aiming for a better and more peaceful future. How the story unfolds is really quite interesting, besides the great Mobile Suit and mechanics...

For the coming season, I wonder will all the 4 Gundam Meister from Celestial Beings appear again. They seems to be dead, but who knows? In the end the whole world has unite under 1 force, but I wonder will it ever last? Looking forward for the debut of Gundam Double O which appears at the end of the episode. I'm looking forward also for more exciting storyline from this animation series. Sigh... I'm gonna spend some bucks in getting those Gundam models... (^^)

Well, last but not least, my favorite character will be Lockon who pilots Gundam Dynames. My favorite mechanics so far would be the Seven Swords - Gundam Exia. Like the motion of Exia slicing enemy in to pieces in a smooth and beautiful movement. Hehe... Anyway, a very different story from all the previous Gundam series, good work to BANDAI and Sunrise.
